The first single "The Girl is Mine" made people think that Thriller was not going to really rule the roost, but "Billie Jean" had the worst of critics eating a humble pie. The video had Michael Jackson moonwalking to fame. Thriller was one of the first music albums to incorporate videos as promotional material. Thriller, Billie Jean and Beat It are to date, the most watched videos in the world. The last album of Michael Jackson-invincible(2001 didnt get the sort of reception and it was declared as the least impressive of all his albums because of of the length of the album and ballads. Rolling Stone believed that "every song is full of grandiose desperation. It's an excruciatingly self-referential place, worsened further by its namesake's unmatched controversies and weirdnesses."

This Is It was supposed to be a series of "comeback" concert performances by Michael Jackson, which were supposed to take place beginning on July 13, 2009, at The O2 arena in London and continue throughout the year.It was believed that the first 10 dates would alone have earned the singer a figure of more than £50 million.
